At Lalor North Primary School, we see ourselves as a community of learners where we all work together …… to learn together…… to grow together.  Our school values underpin all that we do and we have hope for all of our students to become increasingly resilient and optimistic learners as they grow.  We strive to do our best for our students each and every day so that their school experience is a positive and memorable one.

My educational philosophy is based on a strong belief that learning needs to be student centred with students as equal partners in the learning process.  I am passionate about educating the ‘whole child’ and providing real life learning experiences to promote curiosity and engagement.  I believe that every child is wonderfully unique with their own personal strengths and differences and requires a stimulating, safe and caring educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. I embrace the idea that ‘Learning is the discovery that something is possible’ and that it is strongly entwined with my belief that teachers who love teaching……. teach children to love learning.

As the Principal of Lalor North Primary School, I am fully committed to supporting my staff and community to develop our learners to reach their full potential, to encourage excellence in education and provide as many opportunities for our students to develop and succeed in all areas of the curriculum.  We have a dynamic, dedicated and friendly staff who value strong partnerships with students and their families.

I am particularly proud of the Lalor North Primary School Community and its love of languages. Our Standard Curriculum Program and two Bilingual Curriculum Programs are very successful and we all work together with a rich common sense of purpose which unite our whole school.  Parents and staff share a common goal to develop confidence in our children, to empower them to be curious, creative and have a strong desire to achieve their personal best and beyond.  Our students are encouraged to have a shared sense of responsibility to build a better world as we prepare them to be global citizens.
